New World Witchery: A Trove of North American Folk Magic by Cory Thomas Hutcheson

3.0

This book does a good job at explaining different religious / spiritual practices, as well as exploring folkloric aspects. It would be a good starting point for a beginner or for someone that is just interested in learning more about folk magic. It's definitely more of a reference book.
I don't like that the author in some parts automatically assumes that the reader is female and addresses them as such, it's not hard to write in gender neutral terms throughout the entire book. In the end I just ended up flipping through the rest.
