I am very obsessed with ancient Rome/Greece and Mary Beard makes it come to life with her writing. She is also someone I watch a lot and I decided to try one of her books out. Now she isn't just my favorite historian with her documentaries but now with her books. Again like with a lot of history books I have read this didn't read like a textbook. I am about to pick up all her books very soon.
