This book took me awhile to pick up because I needed to mentally prepare myself for Daemon, Katy, and the baby. I read the Lux series over 8 years ago and that book was with me during my hardest times and it always felt like I grew up with them so I just needed some time before I read it. I was not disappointed. Their little scenes killed me and when Daemon was telling Adam the story of Princess Snowbird? I completely lost it.
Okay now to the part of the book that I had to set the book down in book jail for a good 20 minutes. Blake Saunders. A name I thought I would never hear again. I was blissfully Blake free for years now and I honestly still have no idea how he survived. As much as I love a good twist I hated this one. I still am having a hard time understanding why he was relevant in the story at all? He added absolutely nothing except for tension within the group. (Sorry Jen but I can’t forgive you for this
