I read this while on an international flight on my way to take care of my dad during his cancer treatment. Although there were cultural differences, Michelle spoke to my soul of navigating changes in the parent-child dynamic during illness while navigating your place in a culture you’re not fully embedded in. I honestly think this book helped me be more present with my feelings during the whole ordeal.
