This was an enchanting, sweet, and spooky retelling of Jane Eyre. The writing flowed naturally and set the atmosphere for the story well. As someone who really didn't enjoy the original Jane Eyre, I was happily surprised to enjoy this book as much as I did. I found this Jane compelling, authentic, and interesting- and towards the end of the novel, I was really rooting for her success!
