Brian Goode was smitten with Faith Sumner the moment he met her, and she finally agreed to a date. Unfortunately, a misunderstanding leads to hurt feelings on both sides, and the two have to decide if their attraction is worth the effort.

As with the other books in this series, the novella format does it a disservice. The basic premise has potential, but there is very little character development and the romance goes from 0-60 in a single chapter.

What little characterization there is focuses on Faith, who is a problematic heroine. She is rather self-involved and her prejudices both against Brian and against her mother are annoying.

The best aspect of this book and the series as a whole is the wonderful banter between the different groups of friends and the previous couples.

The series comes to end with the next book focusing on Brian's friend, Rex. Looks interesting.
