I really love this series, and I think I'm going to read them all before I watch another episode of the really wonderful TV series. The thing is, the TV show gives away too much of plot development in the books -- while seeing it all play out on TV after you've read the books is just fine. Once again, I love Graham's vivid description, great ear for dialect, strong characters, and fascinating story line. Plus each time I read one of these books I learn more about Cornwall and copper mining and 18th century life. As usual, I find at the end of this book (the third) I am on tenterhooks to see what happens next, too. I can't believe it took me so many decades to find this series, but thanks, TV!
