It is, much like Mother! by Darren Aronofsky, something I expect you will love or hate. It is another biblical metaphor through the eyes of the woman/mother/Eve/Lilith where we see how disempowered she is to the things around her and how in this perspective God may be a patriarchal light-antagonist to her. They even both end somewhat the same with a new "her" after the destruction of the old.
