Super angsty! I still enjoyed the story even though the lead characters were annoying me.
Lena is so mopey and angsty and a teen in general that she really annoyed me. She was all on again off again with Ethan. It was like a yo-yo at times! It was rather confusing after the events of the previous book. I felt like those events were out of character.
Poor constant Ethan loves her so much that his only thought is to help her! He too had some mopey moments I had to persevere through!
The light in this book is the relationship between Link and Ridley!! Love them! I also liked the introduction of a new character Liv. She was a breath of fresh air in this downer of a tale!
A really intriguing conclusion but kinda obvious. I mean Lena did the thing she has been told to do for the whole series! She was kinda dense about what she should do. And the authors were pretty mush hitting her over the head with a sledge hammer about it! Not at all subtle.
I listened to the audiobooks narrated by Kevin T. Collins. He does a great job keeping the story moving, terrific pace. His voices were interesting and consistent. I enjoyed his energy throughout the read. The only thing that was strange was the singing and background noise. I found it very distracting and not pleasant. It was more jarring and took me out of the story.
