Girl Waits with Gun by Amy Stewart

4.0

RATING: 4 STARS

Based on a true story about the three Kopp sisters. The three sisters are unmarried as they are into their own interests, driving their brother crazy with worry. Eldest sister, Constance has a secret that middle sister, Norma agrees to keep if it keeps everything the way it is now. Florette, the youngest wants to learn to drive, dance and act. One day, the three drive into the city and are run into by a wealthy silk owner. Not ones to back down, the sisters continue with the lawsuit despite Kauffman's threats. When Kauffman's gang starts to shoot at the family farm and make more menacing threats, the Sheriff calls in reinforcements to protect the Kopps. To protect her family and stop the threat, Constance takes it upon herself to insert herself in danger.

This was a fun historical fiction - lighter than I expected. I really like all the characters but Norma is one of my favourites. I really enjoyed this on audio, and will go straight into the next book.
