As always, I worry that the last book in a series will have a typical fairy tale ending. And this one did, though not necessarily in the way one would expect. While having Jacob be treated as a mental case was logical, it did make the fairytale ending seem slightly more real when they did get it. And having the collapsed loop make them the age they look seemed as if it were a cop out to make Jacob have his happy ending but it made sense-or as much sense as a world full of time loops and peculiar children could be.
