I did not think the Astaroth as he was potrayed in the previous book could be redeemed. Yet I was so wrong. This book was much better imo then the previous book. I enjoyed the characters, the banter, the setting and quest a lot more. I am not sure if it was because I was already familiar with the world or just the faster pace of this book. I could see the demon politics similar to our own politics. I could imagine Moloch as a devious supreme court judge. I liked the end and how it came about. I enjoyed the quest and the banter between the main characters.
