Lost Children Archive by Valeria Luiselli

4.0

I really loved the language and a lot of the side stories in Lost Children Archive. It's full of quotes and sections I utterly enjoyed. There's quite a bit of everything packed in this book and I did ask myself what it is actually about once I finished it, but even so, it was a real pleasure to read.

The more I think of it now after finishing, the more I think it's about being lost, both emotionally and geographically. It's about running away, be it from your country, from your responsibilities or from your family and people around you. I loved how even the grownups in this book were lost, sometimes referencing and reflecting on their own parents, which gives the feeling that everyone is a lost child, no matter their age. I think this book will only grow on me with time!
