SYNOPSIS
- In Seattle, Paris Peralta’s husband, aka Jimmy Peralta, is dead. He was found in his own bathtub with his wife, Paris, beside him covered in blood & holding a straight razor. Jimmy is a lot older than Paris, and he is a famous comedian & he is pretty wealthy. Paris is arrested for first degree murder, and the media is very interested in Paris’s murder trial.
- Twenty-five years ago, Ruby Reyes was convicted of a similar murder in Canada. Ruby knows all of Paris’s secrets, and Ruby is threatening to expose her secrets.
MY THOUGHTS
- Fourth Hillier book I’ve read, and she’s quickly become one of my favorite authors of the genre. However, this is least favorite one of hers so far.
- Predictable & easy to figure out.
- Check out trigger warnings.
- Average thriller.
TL;DR: ⭐️⭐️⭐️not hillier’s best work.
