Lou Lou and Pea and the Mural Mystery by Jill Diamond
3.0
Everyone else wrote glowing reviews about this book, and they are probably all correct. After all, I am not the target audience, and in my day, I loved Beverly Cleary books, which this is reminiscent of. I just found that this mystery, which is what the Mural Mystery is all about, took a long time to solve. I guessed who had done it before the reveal, but there were enough clue to do so, so that part was well done.
This was not action packed. This was not dangerous. This was just the story of two well-behaved girls trying to solve a mystery in their Spanish influenced town. I did not feel I had to race to the finish.
So, if you want a gentle mystery, with likable girls, then this is the book for you.
If you want a little more action, then I would seek out other books.
Thanks to Netgalley for making this book available for an honest review.
