My one major gripe with this piece is that I feel it was too short to fully develop both the world-building and the character relationships as much as they could be. It felt very, 'We're here, and now we're here, and also we love each other!" I did find the characters endearing, but as I said, they could've used a bit more narrative length to strengthen their development.
