Let's Not Be Friends by Phoebe MacLeod

2.0

To be honest, I was disappointed with this book. I don't understand how it can be rated so highly with an average of 4 stars. Thankfully it was free on Amazon prime, because I would have been really upset if I had paid for it

While the book had its good moments, I couldn't fully connect with the main character, Sophie. The storyline of her cheating husband did evoke some sympathy, but Sophie herself felt unrelatable. It was hard to root for her when she had the luxury of using her daddy's money and paid help to restart her life. I would have found her more relatable if she had put her own flatpack furniture together or had some other struggles that most people experience. Overall, it's an okay read, but not something I would highly recommend.
