Wilder Girls by Rory Power
3.0
Full disclosure : I ended up skimming parts of it as the body horror unsettled me way more than I had expected. I had actually started this one in June, hoping I'd be more comfortable with it later, but I don't know that I'll ever be!
The author really excels at describing the horrible aspects of this disease and creating a creepy atmosphere. It's a unique book with some great ideas, but I can see how it won't be everyone's thing. After all, it wasn't exactly mine. I had a hard time connecting with the characters and felt the story didn't quite go where I'd hoped it would. I'd be willing to try more from the author though, as I really enjoyed Rory Power's writing.
