Wild by Cheryl Strayed

4.0

I actually watched the movie when it came out several years ago, but I'm still glad I read the book to know the experiences and emotions the author felt in detail. Cheryl Strayed is the definition of ambitious and strong-willed as she navigated through extremely harsh conditions on the Pacific Crest Trail as an amateur hiker. The journey was equal parts dangerous and cathartic, but it helped her make sense of her tumultuous world by stepping outside her environment and step up to another challenge. I thought it would not be as entertaining since I'm not into camping/hiking life, but it was inspiring to learn about Cheryl's accomplishments.
