not lighthearted at all, not sure why the description says that. this is a story about a young woman who deeply hates herself and doesn’t believe she is deserving of anyone’s love, including her family’s. she tries hard in every moment to keep going and not give up. it’s actually really sad. very, very well written. the main character is a very complex person, and the author did such a good job writing her i feel like she exists!!
