The Last Beekeeper by Pablo Cartaya

3.0

The book should have gone deeper into the characters and into building the world. It was a fairly 2-dimensional story with just a few key locations and not a lot of descriptions beyond the basics. The characters are also flat, and had very monotone personalities.

It was an okay read, but was a bit heavy handed on the lesson aspect, especially towards the end. It hints at a sequel, which could be interesting, but I don’t actually care what happens to the characters, other than the cat.
