I would not have thought that a book that consists mostly of people having cagey, tense conversations with each other would be enjoyable, but it really is. After book one I did ask myself if the author had a solid plan to build on the foundation. Not only is this clearly the case, but the whole world feels real and in depth in a very engaging way. Great world, great characters, great prose.
