A wonderfully diverse book with fantastic world building. There are characters of many different skin tones and gender identities and sexualities and beliefs (within the world).

The threads throughout of how the different storytellers end up crossing paths is really cool, much like it was in The Priory of the Orange Tree for me. A Day of Fallen Night showcases the world being different than it is hundreds of years later in Priory, but ties in nicely with relevant snippets and artifacts that are significant in both.
