The Tower of Swallows by Andrzej Sapkowski

3.75

A lower point in the series for me; I'm hovering between 3.75 and 4. The first two-thirds of this were just so hard to get through, although the payoff of the last third was ultimately worth it. Ciri just goes through so much misery, it finally gets to be too much for me to handle, even knowing there's a light at the end of the tunnel. In addition, we barely see Geralt in this one, and the way we leave him and his fellowship feels a little abrupt. Yennefer's story was very intriguing, probably one of my favorite parts, after Ciri and Visygota.
