Wow. I had to go back and revise my star ratings for my recent 5 star book reviews to lower them in light of this book. Because if this is a 5 star book in my eyes (and it is!) and it is also one of the best romances I've read in at least a decade (and it is!) and it contains some of the most beautiful prose I've ever encountered that made me long for a big epic love story (and it does!) then realistically the other books that I thought I loved must warrant slightly less stars.
So in conclusion, this book is so good that it has made me substantively reflect on, and subsequently revise, what I take to be a 5 star quality of book.
