I liked this sequel even more than the first book, though it’s still a 3 star read for me. This is mostly due to me constantly being annoyed with the MC, Grace. She needs so much spelled out for her. Her internal thoughts are very repetitive. We’re not all as slow as you Grace. She’s also got a martyr complex. I probably would be enjoying this series that much more if I liked her a little better. I don’t like love triangles that much, but in this case I had a strong preference for her new love interest. Her original relationship seemed so stiff and lacked fun in this book. Her first dude was giving me Tamlin vibes this time around as well. The timeline for this book was also super fast with everything happening in just over a week. Some of the plot points were nonsensical and ended up being pointless. I’m still left wondering why these centuries old vampires need to be in high school. What exactly are they learning at this point? Despite my many critiques I’m still super entertained by this series so far and really looking forward to book 3!
