This one I liked more than Pestilence up until the pregnancy trope hit and then it definitely lost me. I feel like there was less theological thinking (a thing I liked in the first one), which was a bummer I would have been interested in more. Overall I thought it was repetitive and I don't know that half of Miriam's escape attempts really did much to move the plot along? Overall it was just fine. Will still probably revisit for an academic project though!
