I was very surprised this was not YA. I found it  very hard to get through. It seems like it could have been quite interesting to begin with (the translators nursery, the political elements) but seemed to become so predictable and mushy that I didn't care. It really felt like every time it raised something which could have piqued my interest (the question of who is human/what the presgar are and how they work/political factions and the apparatus behind it) it ended up becoming Nothing. And instead it was just literally 'remember! someone loves you' over and over again. Not for me.
