I loved this series growing up. It's so interesting to see how differently I view this series now that it's been about 2 decades since I last read them. I feel some nostalgia, and for that, they'll always have a special place in my heart, but I'm glad more diverse (and better written) stories have become more visible and more easily accessible since then.
Minor: Sexism
Male and female protagonists especially follow (relatively) mild sexist tropes.
