One thing that would have made this a 5 stars read for me was if we got to see Simi reunite and to know if they are alive or not. But other than that, it was a good end to this duology. I enjoyed it very much but I have to admit, the first one was more interesting for me maybe because we had Issa :(
I liked how we didn’t have to wait so long for Simi and Kola to be reunited again and everything was just action after action. This one had more war battles and death.
I’m not going to lie, I saw the betrayal a mile away. As soon as it happened, I knew who did it. Quite obvious.
The ending was bittersweet to me because of how everything went down. I’m happy that Simi got what she wanted and find what she truly needed but I’m heart hurts for the ones that didn’t make it to the end.
