I Flipping Love You by Helena Hunting

4.0

My second favorite in the series, but then again I read (or rather, listened to) these out of order. I like the continuation of characters who have either risen up or fallen back into middle-class status, and therefore understand the world these characters wind up meeting in. They understand the gobs of money and ego involved, and are willing to give the system the finger. Pierce has been strong-armed into becoming a lawyer and after a patent screw-up realizes once again how much he dislikes it; Rian and her twin Marley are trying to dig themselves out of the hole their upper-class grifter parents shoved them into by working in real estate, making commissions on selling houses and then working on a flip. Rian's secret about her parents is a real barrier and not the blatant contrivance romance novels require. I liked Pierce and Rian's genuine argument over it. Pierce and Amalie's younger brother, Lawson, I guess is Armstrong Lite. Again, if you have access to the library service Hoopla and are into audio, give this a whirl because Jacob Morgan is great to listen to.
