Karen vs Alien by Loki Renard

5.0

Finally, it's time for Tyank!

4.5 Knife-Skin stars.

Of all the Scythkin to date, NGL, "runty" 8 foot tall Tyank is my favorite. He's made cameos in Humans Must Kneel, Cave Alien, and Orion's Belt, and every time he pops up, I get so excited... but now he gets a novella all his own. And who better suited for twice-the-aggression-in-a-smaller-package than Karen/Kar3n? Yes, like that kind of a Karen.

Some part of me always knew this is how it was always supposed to end. Live by the sword, die by the sword. Every Karen knows that there will one day be a manager she cannot destroy.

The Karen humor in this is amazing. Any white woman who can not see her own poor behavior when it comes to getting her way in this and laugh at herself will probably hate this one. But as always, Ms. Renard's humor is cutting and spot-on. KvA doesn't have the same wealth of social commentary of the previous books in the Scythkin series, but it's still a fun read full of laughs.

My only real complaint is that it isn't longer. More Tyank, The Tiny Terror (HA), please.
