THE GOOD: Short chapters are perfect for someone with slight ADD like myself. The story is about how people react and cope with traumatic experiences and has a deep sense of mystery to it. We don't find out exactly what happened until the very end. Coincidences? Or all part of an elaborate plot? Pace gets faster as the book nears the end. A real page turner for me which is quite rare.

THE BAD:
SpoilerDrugs planted in their backpack and passports stolen. You telling me that they didn't find the drugs while turning their backpacks upside-down looking for their stolen passport? Hard to believe. But obviously this is just a minor loophole in an otherwise complex and coherent plot against the protagonists. The twists & turns really threw me off.

THE UGLY: Scenes of rape do occur. Not for the squimish or those sensitive to this subject.
