Legitimately the best book I’ve read in 2023. I laughed, I cried, I got mad. What I thought was a cute little YA book about two Muslim teens is so much more. It speaks to halal relationships and touches on Islamophobia and growing up as third culture kid. Great for adults and young leaders. To parents, I would probably wait until middle school and be prepared to have conversations because the themes in this book are heavy and unfortunately way too common of occurrences for those of us who grew up different.
