The Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert: An English Professor's Journey Into Christian Faith by Rosaria Champagne Butterfield

3.0

Butterfield's book (as I see it) will be welcomed by people who are finding their way in the Christian culture but who feel like they don't fit the "mold" for some reasons; it will be fiercely renounced by those who feel betrayed (both Christian and nonChristian).
I admire her courage and her truthfulness with herself when she became a Christian.
I would have rated it higher had it been a bit more cohesive (she gets kudos for just finishing it!). As a Christian, her passion for causes has not waned from her preChristian days-that is who she is.
I prefer books which are a bit more thought-provoking. (I read few confessional/autobiographical books for that reason). But if you like that sort of thing, as my spouse does, you might enjoy this.
