Human Acts by Han Kang

This book is astonishing and riveting. The book is about the Gwangju Uprising in 1980, a lesser known history. It has got me intrigued and I am surely going to read about it more.

I like how the book does not talk about the atrocities faced by people in a generic way but through a few people’s stories, which sort of covers the massacre.

It’s an engaging book but I got a bit perturbed to read it in second person. But once I got into the flow of the book, it was all good.

I am glad I picked it up as my 1st read of 2023 :)
