Ghost of Truth by Alice Winters

3.0

Ever read a story that you loved, then went back to the continuation of said story and the author made you hate the characters. This is it. Ghost of Truth is the follow up to Ghost of Lies which I absolutely loved. The funny banter, the mystery and a hot couple. All of this is still here but the mystery is beyond confusing and overshadowed the character and their story. The author tried and did too much in this and it resulted in both Maddox and Hiro to look helpless and useless the entire book. I grew so frustrated with Hiro and him constantly having breakdowns when the ghost surround him. Maybe have him learn how to better use his abilities in the third book. There is potential with the introduction of a different ability, maybe a guru to help guide him or something. Can't be having a supernatural book with a main character that's in the dark and helpless constantly, it gets repetitive after the first time he needs help or needs to be rescued
