Slaying the Shadow Prince by Helen Scheuerer
4.0
"I was yours from the moment you vowed to carve out my heart, Wildfire."
Slaying The Shadow Prince is the prequel story of The Legends of Thezmarr and it tells Talemir’s and Drue’s story.
Tal was Wilder’s mentor and a warsword of Thezmarr. Something happened to him during the last battle of Naarva, that transformed him into a half shadow wraith and maimed Malik, Wilder’s older brother for life.
We get to see a younger Wilder as he’s grieving and trying to cope with his brother’s fate, and his encounter with Adrienne.
Thanks to the people who told me to read this before fate & furies for this was a really helpful addition to the series and now I have a better understanding of many things.
I hope to see Tal and Drue again in the next books!
