Cup of Joe by Annabeth Albert

2.0

I love [a:Annabeth Albert|6477494|Annabeth Albert|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1497461817p2/6477494.jpg] books, some are on my favourites shelf, and I've re-read some of them way too many times. However, this one is not one of my faves. Quite honestly, I would have to say that Cup of Joe left me... lukewarm.

The characters were both cute, and I loved how we got to deal with Joe and his body insecurities, instead of just being a rah-rah "I'm perfect" kind of "daddy," but at the end of the day I didn't get the feelings either had for the other. I'm fine with age gaps in books, but sometimes I do think that the age gap is too much, not due to age, but due to maturity or where people are in life. And at the end of this, I was left feeling like these two were just at very different parts of their life, and it didn't ring true to me.

I liked both Joe and Levi, but didn't really understand their connection.
