This was an easy short, fun read that I got through within a couple hours.

The story is set in Phoenix Arizona which was surprising but fun considering that's my home town. It mostly tales place at a high school and we follow a rag tag group of teens as they try to navigate a 'zombie' outbreak.

It was ok. The premis was good and the execution was alright. There were multiple plot elements that seemed to he set up that lead nowhere.

*spoilers*
Chad and Travis' deal-Laura's meds-Chad's car being outside the gates. All of these things either didn't actually matter or just didn't go anywhere. In the begining there is an established "crush" between Chad and MacKenzie but there was this vibe and tension between Travis and Chad that made me think that there was going to be a reveal that Chad was in the closet....like I was actually pretty shocked that is just...didn't go anywhere and became this more "reluctant truce"-thing instead. Then Laura having the pills.....that just didn't end up being anything-they dont end up getting them so Chad ends up turning and I get it but at the same time I was kind of like....why even bring that up if you're not going to do anything with it. I get that it was like this other reason to go find Laura but they were going to do that anyways. Lastly, the fact that Chad's car is outside the school is set up in the begining and I knew it was going to be important and it does.....sort of, they do end up trying to get to Chad's car but in the end it didn't matter because Brain's (the MCs) mom ends up being there to save the day so like....the whole car thing I guess gets them out of the school but ultimately didn't mean anything. I guess my only and main issue with this story is that it set all these things up for them to mean nothing. I at least wanted the pills to like...be something, you know?

But I still had a good time reading, it's mindless fun.
