Work Like Any Other by Virginia Reeves

5.0

Reeves’ first novel is quite excellent. From the moment I started it, I was hardly able to put it down. A quick read, I was left wanting more.

The settings were described in such away, that you felt present with the characters in early 20th century rural Alabama. The character development was strong - the reader seems to know each of them like friends.

The book was written with true emotion in a style that reminds me of The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile. I definitely recommend it.
