Forty by Cate C. Wells

4.25

A strong 4.25 star book

This is exactly the kind of book that I expect and adore from Cate C Wells.
It had the perfect amount of angst, love and mc vibes. This is one of my favourite book/couple in the series. I was smiling while reading this novel multiple times.

The second chance/ex lovers trope is great for angst.
Read the triggers because the fmc's family background was very bad.

I loved the mafia connection at the beginning and how lately the author has incorporated more lgbtq side characters (I would love a Bucky book, even if I don't think we will ever get one)

This book focuses mainly on the fmc, and the way she acted (she has adhd), her distract fullness, her carelessness and her strong spine (which I adored). It kind if reminded me of Joanna Wylde's Jessica (and the book we never got)
