The Throne of Fire by Rick Riordan

5.0

This book is impressive, and I believe it has the same level of emotion as the first one, "The Red Pyramid." I think the book's greatest triumph is the introduction of this fantastic character, Bes. He frequently had me laughing out loud, and when you read his first significant scene on Waterloo Bridge, you'll undoubtedly experience the same. What, in turn, makes this story poignant for me is the fact that Bes sacrificed everything to help the Kanes. Everything about this novel, including the missions and suspense, is equally as fascinating as the first one, if not more so. As you read the book, it gets better and more engaging, piquing your curiosity. But as usual, Rick is content to watch his audience deal with the anxiety. Every time someone tries to communicate something significant to the Kanes, something happens to sabotage the communication. Just saying it makes me angry like ;-;. Anyway, good job. I urge everyone to read this book.
