Women of the Word: How to Study the Bible with Both Our Hearts and Our Minds by Jen Wilkin

2.0

why is it that christians feel a need to have an anecdote for every single point. honestly, i don’t care much about your camping trip when you were nine.
i skimmed so much. this is better than the majority of bible study books and booklets i’ve flipped through, that somehow spend 90 pages talking about how to highlight. (which is apparently wrong in this book... do not touch those gold edged pages! ok.)
however, this 158 page book could be about 20. it’s helpful, but proves i am a master skimmer. probably the best skill that college has taught me. haha. getting good use of it.
not to mention the patronizing attitude here. an example is mentioning that one (since our audience here is women) should use an english dictionary, rather than a hebrew-greek lexicon- “you could (use one), if you know what you’re doing. many of us don’t, so an english dictionary can be a great help.” ..... boy. where do i begin.
