I received an ARC from Juliette Cross and her publishing team in exchange for an honest review.

It's time to say goodbye to Genevieve and Jude in the final book of The Vessel Trilogy. Bound in Black has become the book I enjoyed the most in this series.

At the end of Sealed in Sin, both Gen and Jude had been ambushed and Jude sacrificed himself in order to protect Gen. Now, in Bound in Black, Gen is on a mission to find and save Jude from the deepest corner of the underworld. On top of that they decoded the long lost prophecy and they have limited time before the Great War to finally start. Genevieve must fight all the creatures of Dark, and protect and save all her loved ones.

In Sealed in Sin some of the secrets had been revealed but in Bound in Black all our questions are answered. I had a few theories of my own regarding some characters and plot, and I'm happy that my theories come to fruition. I really enjoyed Gen's personal journey, her fight against the evil, her bond with her comrades whether they are angels, hunters, or demons, her relationship with Jude, and her awakening as the Vessel. Thorough her journey, she became from a damsel in distress to a warrior.
The only criticism I have is about what happened with Erik. I'd liked author to show us rather than tell us what happaned.
Also, I'm a little confused about the second epilogue. Should we expect a spin-off series?

All in all, I'm glad I've read The Vessel Trilogy. It has everything what you expect from an urban fantasy and a paranormal romance. Demons, angels, prophecy, romance, action, betrayal, you name it.
