The Time Machine by H.G. Wells
3.0
CW: racism, dehumanization of humans, homicidal thoughts, violence.
This one has sat on my to-read for some time, but I was inspired to read it now after I mention in the story that LeVar Burton chose to read for his last episode of LeVar Burton Reads - Ray Bradbury's The Toynbee Convector. Unlike that fine piece of literature that gives me inspiration and hope, this was depressing AF, and even more racist than I expected.
I see why it was important but it reminded me a bit of Lord of the Flies, in its dim view of humanity.
