This book was kind of a mess but incredibly heartfelt.
It's marketed as a childhood friend to enemies to lovers story about how to cohabitate in one house.
And while that is true it's only about 25% of the book and then there is (spoiler coming)
SURPRISE PREGNANCY. This is not mentioned AT ALL in the synopsis and takes up most of the book!!!
I can understand not mentioning it because . . . it's supposed to be a surprise but also wtf because that changes the tone of the entire book. I almost DNF'd it just because of that but I pushed through. While the story was very heartfelt and lovely it was not what I signed up for. This felt like a clickbait situation and the surprise baby was a total jump scare.
2.5 stars.
