Oh my gosh this book was so cute!!! There were chapters that genuinely made me cry, especially Bethany cooking her grandfathers spaghetti recipe.
My only critiques are that there are too many characters that are just not important. It would have felt like a tighter read if I want trying to remember people who ultimately had no influence on the main plot. Also the non-binary character was, in my opinion, misgendered. Lumping them in by saying “the girls” and “the ladies” felt like a complete dismissal of their identity. I think consulting someone who could help shift the gendered language would have been beneficial.
Overall a very cute book and if they turn this into a movie or a tv show I’d love to watch!
