Ryan is the "adopted" daughter of the head of the cartel and is in charge of the gun running in Tuscon. The cartel forms a deal with the Skeletons of Society MC. Gunner is a Sargent of Arms for the MC and is the go between with the cartel. Their first meeting was hilarious. I loved how she put all the men in their place and does not take any of their misogynistic bullshit. Their attraction was instantaneous. You could feel the chemistry betwern them. My only complaint is that their connection was very surface level and was more on physical attraction than anything deeper. I wish more time had been spent developing their relationship, especially if we are to believe they get a HEA after everything that happened.

Ryan is a badass FMC. She is strong and incredibly fierce. Gunner is possessive of Ryan, but knows when to get out of her way. She stands on her own two feet and takes care of herself and the women she protects in her club.

Honestly, my favourite characters were the side characters - Dex, Scar, and Nikki. They added so much to this book and I cannot wait to read Scars book!

The big twist and bad guy reveal were not as shocking as I was hoping, there were some pretty big clues throughout the book.

Tropes: MC romance, Cartel, Instalust, badass FMC, forced proximity, dark romance
