Endless Hunger by Kevin Weir
3.0
Especially in the middle this feels like the fifth book in a series. There are so many references to things in the past, some of them detrimental but most helpful to our "hero".
That hero, calling himself "Kraft", lives in a somewhat dystopic future with a lot of tech, and he is a great hacker and has a bit of magic at his disposal. All of that helps him to survive.
It's fun enough, but it does drag on, especially in the middle.
